Thankfully, there is a wonderful network of calligraphy guilds throughout the country that educate, teach, exhibit and fuel the fire for beautiful letters. There may not be a lot of formal opportunities to study calligraphy but that hasn't stopped the development of this art as this community is known for its willingness to share and teach other.

Connecticut is blessed with 3 guilds (I've heard of a fourth and am in the process of trying to track them down). As a result, a Connecticut resident doesn't have to wander too far from home to connect with others who love letters and lettering.
